The Science behind SitaraGem®
Creating the SitaraGem® is an art in itself. Our scientists prepare a specialized formula comprised of carbon, white crystalline oxide, rare minerals and other elements to create a unique mix that enhances the SitaraGem® core for increased durability (9.1mohs, a diamond being 10) and lifetime luster. We spare no expense and use the finest premium grade rough and the best components in every stage of development.
This mixture goes through a proprietary process and placed under extreme heat (over 5000 degrees Fahrenheit - more than twice the melting point of steel). The mixture has to be melted above its melting point and then held at a constant Temperature of 5,000 F for days to crystallize it into single crystal forms. These exceptional crystals are then individually separated, inspected for grading and sent to our expert diamond cutters. Only the highest grade stones are chosen for the final cutting stage.
